i am a newbie to mendelson.

questions:
1) can i integrate the converter in our java-app?
2) are there runtime-fees when distributing our java-app with mendelson conversions?
3) can i access sap systems with rfc and transform idoc to flat inhouse and vice versa?
4) is there a testversion available?

Yes, there exists a really simple JAVA API to integrate the converter into any JAVA application. We also ship EJB wrappers.

It's a license per machine/processor, no conversion-based fees.

Sure, the converter is generic. Any structured format could be converted from and to XML, also XML-XML conversion. All IDoc descriptions are available at mendelson but could be also imported from the SAP system if required or the structure is customized.
