transite
EDI translation engine

We are searching for an ecommerce "engine" that is open source (or close to it). We currently use a system that has mapping, EDI to XML tranlation between tranding partners, and logging. It is very difficient in its capabilities and we are looking to build our own through components to have much better control. We are looking for an engine that will take an incoming EDI or XML file and map it to the correct tranding partner format automatically.

Does this product do that or does anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Any pointers on how to create an EDI96A EANCOM script. I have so far tried importing a SEF obtained from edidev.com, but it seems to be in the wrong format. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello GC!

Do you know the mec eagle project?
More info under http://www.mec-eagle.org/products_mec_eagle.php

This is an base implementation for EDI message processing from our early days (year 2000).

It include an EDI translation engine.

Much more up-to-date engines are our commercial software mendelson converter and the mendelson business integration (mbi).
The mbi starts at 990,- Euro and include a converter engine but also much more like a configuration GUI, monitoring GUI, workflow engine, integrated communication modules, ...

Hello Leo, I'm looking for

Hello Leo,

I'm looking for EDI transaction manager and communication manager for North America and my budget for this purpose is in lower 4-digit range. It's really hard :) I already tried Boomi, ACOM, Sage, Gentran and other products. They all come with additional subproducts that can double or triple the original price (updates, service plans, extra modules etc.) It's like buying Microsoft Office when you need e-mail program only. Everybody is talking about "drag and drop" to present these solutions as the easiest way to handle anything in EDI world. Does it really work that way?
'mbi small business' may be perfect solution for many small vendors in North America. But the problem is how you advertise it. The common pitfall of other companies is that they show the product for one or two hours on the Internet and allow you to decide if you are ready to spend ten-twenty thousand dollars on it. Doesn't work with me. Probably it will not work with others like me. I want to try it first. If I like it then I become an advocate for this product.
Leo and Heller, do you have any plans for creation of trial version? Did I miss it on your site?

There is no trial version of the mbi small business available.

We can give you more information like screenshots and demos from the mbi software or also arrange a LIVE online demonstration.

You don't have to decide if you are ready to spend ten-twenty thousand dollars because you can start with 990,- Euro and get a full version.

You can contact me via e-mail if you need some more special information.
