received MDN error: content hash found in signed attributes different

Hello,
Hoping you can help with the below problem.

I'm in a testing mode with a trading partner who is successfully receiving an EDI X12 document and sending out a successful MDN. However when my m-e-c-AS2 receives the MDN I get the below error:
...content hash found in signed attributes different.

I noticed that the MDN signature, that m-e-c-AS2 sends, has a transfer encoding of base 64. However my trading partner is sending a binary signature.

Can m-e-c-AS2 accept a binary encoded signature? If so what else could be causing the error?

Thank you.
Ed

build 21 question

I did a clean install of the build 21 .exe today. I can't seem to add any partners. well, I click new, and configure the new partner and click 'ok'. when I go back into the 'partners' window, the one I added isn't there. (I've tried this multiple time and ways)

If I make changes to one of the defaults (mycompany) for example. The changes look to save correctly.

I've copied the .p12 file from my running MEC AS2(17) and it looks to pull in the keys correctly.

The logs are empty.

I don't know if it matters on running the exe version, but my computer's java is 1.6

any thoughts?

Sourcecode of version b21 patch 1

Hi,

I wonder how I can obtain the complete sources of the newest version of mec as2. The CVS folder "patch1_b21" does not contain the whole sourcecode, for example the package "de/mendelson/comm/as2/preferences" is completely empty. So I thought the patch would only contain differences and would need to be applied to b19, but this does not work aswell. So, is there any way to get the complete b21 patch1 sourcecode?

Regards,

Sven

AS2 ID Field Length

Hello List,

has there been a length limitation introduced for the AS2 id in mec 1.0b21? After a change from b19 to b21 one of the AS2 id's of one of our AS2 partners is too long for the input field.

regards,
Martin

Error verivying the sendes digital signature openAs2 -> mec

hi *,

i am testing interoperability with openas2. to me a very strange thing occurs:

when trying to send plain text (ascii) data from openas2 to mec everything is fine. when i am trying to send binary data e.g. word documents from openas2 to mec the following error occurs:

[11:15:44 AM] OPENAS2-18042008111538+0200-3702@OpenAS2A_as2.spar.at:

i am not really shure which client / server is now having a problem with binary data. or do i do something wrong?
isn't it allowed to send binary data?

regards chris

i have downloaded version b19 and b21 so far. b19 works from the scratch but b21 throws class not found exceptions from the beginning. are there some pre conditions that i miss?

regular clean up of list of messages possible?

hi *,

when using mec two thing are a little annoying with the message list:

1) when message list gets too long gui is really slow
--> could be solved by a max vlalue of messages to be shown (configureable)

2) the list gets not emptied after some time so when i do e.g. 10000 messages a day and have not deleted for one week the 70000 messages are really hard for the gui.
---> i would suggest a clean up run every X seconds (configureable) for messages thjat are flagged ok. a configured value zero (default) would never clean up automatically

what do you think?

regards chris

improvement request directory hashing?

hi *,

i just wanted to know if it would be possible to implement directory hashing in the "done" directories. whenever my mec has worked on a file it e.g. creates files in e.g. sent folder. when dealing with multiple thousand files it is really "bad" for the OS when putting all files into one folder. is there a possibility to write thos file into e.g.
sent/YYYY/MM/DD/ optional HHHH/MM/SS using a pattern?

regards chris
